My story
I grew up in cosy Tilburg, moved to the Randstad as a student, and for a good few years now I’ve lived with my partner and our two daughters in a lovely neighbourhood in Eindhoven.
From a young age I was captivated by deep, rich colours and had an eye for beauty. I soon knew I wanted to go to art school: Interaction Design & Documentary Photography. Yet I felt held back there, and later chose to study Social Work: a valuable degree that taught me a lot about people and their stories, but one that left no room for my creativity.
The urge to create and tell stories never went away. With the encouragement of my partner, who is a filmmaker, I picked up my camera again, and I’m grateful to him for that every single day.
What I love most is photographing people, not posed but as they really are: in the moment, with every emotion that comes with it. When something moves me, the photographs just happen; I can’t help but document it.
And the best part? When my images move other people too. So if you see something that speaks to you, do send me a message. You’ll probably make my day.
I’m most inspired by shoots that challenge me and spark my creativity. Those are the moments when I’m completely in my element and my passion for photography comes to life.
